Our Staff

The audiology staff at Physicians’ Hearing Services is highly experienced in a wide variety of audiological services, including basic and advanced audiological test procedures and hearing aid fittings for adults and children. Attuned to the latest advances and products, we are prepared to offer the best of new equipment and technology. Additionally, every product we sell includes the highest level of service from our experienced, trusted team.

Our audiologists and professional staff are among the most well-respected professionals in the area. All our audiologists have Doctoral Degrees in Audiology, and are licensed and registered to practice audiology and hearing aid dispensing in the state of California. Our audiologists are also affiliated with the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), American Board of Audiology (ABA), and California Academy of Audiology (CAA).

ColemanDr. John Coleman
Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Coleman has a doctorate in audiology and served as an audiologist to a U.S. President for 14 years. John has 20 years experience at House Ear Clinic and 30 years in the field of audiology. He is well versed in all aspects in audiology and has a special interest in hearing aids and amplification technology.
SandersDr. Steve Sanders
Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Sanders has twenty years experience in the field of audiology, including a one year fellowship at House Ear Clinic. He has his masters degree in communicative disorders and a doctorate in audiology. Steve has a full range of competencies in audiological assessment and has special skills in auditory brainstem response evaluations, videonystagmography (VNGs), and hearing aid fittings.
CurranDr. Katharine Curran
Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Curran graduated from the University of Florida with a doctorate in audiology. She completed her fourth year externship at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. She offers a full range of audiologic services, including adult and pediatric evaluations, auditory evoked responses, and hearing aid evaluations and fittings.
SchauweckerDr. Emily Schauwecker
Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Schauwecker graduated from Saint Louis University and went on to earn her doctoral degree in audiology from the University of Louisville. She completed her one year fellowship at the San Diego Veterans Hospital. She specializes in adult and pediatric hearing assessments, hearing aids and assistive listening devices, and dizziness assessments.
JohnsonDr. Erica Johnson
Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Johnson graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She earned her doctorate in audiology from Missouri State University and completed her externship at Physicians Hearing Services. She enjoys working with people of all ages and is skilled in audiologic evaluations, hearing aid fittings, and dizziness assessment.
AllenDr. Danielle Allen
Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Allen recently graduated with her doctorate from San Diego State University/Univeristy of California, San Diego.  She completed her fourth year externship at Physicians' Hearing Services.  Her interests include universal newborn hearing screenings and amplification technology.

Audiology Extern

Heather is a fourth year audiology doctoral student who is completing her one year externship at Physicians' Hearing Services.  She is currently attending Auburn University in Alabama.  Heather anticipates graduation in May, 2009, with her doctorate in audiology.  She has an interest in newborn hearing screenings, pediatric and adult diagnostics, and hearing aid technology.
